I have worked in education and studied Counselling and Psychotherapy, I also had many placements where I supported clients with their mental health and improved their health and well-being.

What would you say to someone thinking about a career in care?
I would make them aware of the impact a caring role can have on a carers life, and that there are highs and lows of working the in care sector. However I would point out in the career there is an opportunity to make a difference to a carers life, and there is no reward that compares to this.

I love Portugal, I visited often as a child and so I enjoy taking my son and watching him play on the beaches, of course the sun is a bonus for me!

What’s your favourite hobby/pastime?
I spend most of my time with my little boy visiting places and completing different activities such as the zoo’s and sea life centres. We also spend a large amount of time in parks playing and feeding the ducks. I do enjoy my music and will occasionally attend concerts.
