Role based in Bolton – Based in Deepdale Community Centre
Salary range: £9.75 hour – Part Time 28 Hours per month – 7 Hours Per Week – flexible approach
12 months fixed term contract
Young Carers of Deepdale need YOU!
We are looking to recruit an energetic, confident and innovative Project Worker to support the development of our young carers project in Deepdale, Bolton. The project will support young carers aged 8-18 living in the Deepdale Estate who help care for members of their own family.
The projects aim is to provide respite and improved outcomes for young carer’s through the delivery of group sessions and 1:1 work along with partnership working with local schools or universal services to generate referrals, raise awareness and increase opportunities and partnership projects that the young carers will benefit from.
The ideal candidate will have a background in youth or community work and play a key part in engaging with young carers and their families in the Deepdale estate which involves completing assessments, offering 1:1 and group sessions.
It is important that you are flexible and adaptable as the service may require the hours being used in the evenings, day time or weekends. No two weeks will be the same.

About You
| Experience of working with young carers or young people |
| Able to plan & deliver activities online or face to face |
| Creative approach to online tools, resources & how best to engage young people virtually |
| Experience of supporting young people in 1:1's to improve their outcomes |
| Experience of partnership working |
| Excellent organisation and communication skills |
| Relevant experience and or qualifications |
| Excellent IT skills |
| A (manual) driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role |
| Willing to work evenings & occasional weekends |
| Independent, motivated and able to work on your own |
