Crossroads Together is offering an excellent career opportunity for a number of Activities Coordinators through the kickstart placement scheme.
Our Crossroads Together team, based at four Extra Care Schemes in Stockport, offer residents practical and emotional care and support within their own homes.
Our team of professional Carer Support Workers, provide personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting), support with medication, light domestic duties and facilitating residents to enjoy activities at home and out in the community.
We also provide tenants with a range of organised group activities in the communal areas of the sites. These can include games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, 1:1 activities. The activities we provide enrich the lives of the tenants and support their wellbeing.
The Activities Coordinators will provide emotional support, companionship and a safe environment for those in need of supervision and help. This can be provided through social interaction, shopping trips, local outings in the community, cleaning together, having a drink and chat, etc.
Established in 1990, Crossroads Together is a not for profit registered charity providing high quality care at home and support services for carers and people with care needs. We also provide information, advice and practical support to anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid for a family member or friend.
We work across Cheshire, Warrington, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Shropshire and Herefordshire. We have almost 250 trained professionals, helping close to 9,000 people, including over 600 young carers, with practical and emotional support each year.
Applicants must be willing to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and a satisfactory DBS check at enhanced level.
