Tell us about your role in no more than two sentences.
Co-ordinate G.P Breaks for Rochdale and Oldham, and project co-ordinator for children’s short breaks in Rochdale.
What were you doing before you came into the care sector?
Worked as a Redcoat at Butlins. Worked as a Nanny, for a family in Florida.
Worked as a screen printer for many years then went to a home for Mental health to gain some experience in care, before Joining Crossroads Together/ Crossroads 11 years ago.
What would you say to someone thinking about a career in care?
Very rewarding career.
What’s the best thing about working for Crossroads Together?
Meeting new people and feeling like you really make a difference to people’s lives.
Seeing the children having so much fun on the trips we run in the holidays.
Which three words would your friends use to describe you?
Warm, caring and reliable.
Where’s your favourite holiday destination and why?
Many favourite places, hard to choose.
Florida, as I worked there for 2 years as a nanny, and have lots of good friends over there.
Love the Greek Islands and Malta as the people are so warm and friendly.
What’s your favourite hobby/pastime?
Reading, swimming, socialising and quiz’s
